The fact that Zafira held the memorial service and the ceremony after my comrade’s sudden death was a security and a great help in making room for the grief. My role became very practical and so did the grief. Zafira’s warm and thoughtful words/advice and thoughts during the planning of the memorial helped me dare to be in the grief as well. In the planning, Zafira helped us look at the sadness and pain together and dare to share all the sorrow despite all the stuff that had to be done. All this in the queer, slightly scattered family we have, so it was extremely valuable that Zafira was able to guide us during the ceremony in the extra difficulties that come with it. I carry this forward with great gratitude.
